Flair is about sharing your football journey and connecting with other players like yourself.
We want you to feel completely safe while doing so.
Here is our guide for safeguarding on Flair.
What is Flair?
Flair is a social network for youth football players. It is a mobile app where you can share your football journey by adding your match stats and creating infographics of your match performances, posting videos, posting photos and posting updates. You can also follow the journeys of other players like yourself and get to know them better along the way.
Who runs Flair?
The Flair community is run by a team of dedicated staff who monitor the community all week long. We do our best to make sure that people are following the Rules of Play, such that the community is as safe as can be. Of course, we can not guarantee that we will spot every potential breach of our rules, so we ask all members of the community to play their part in monitoring the community.
Rules of Play
Please familiarise yourself with our Rules of Play so that you know what we think is acceptable behaviour in our community.
Similar to other networks, you can set your profile to private. This means that your post will only visible to people you have actively accepted as a follower.
There is no direct messaging on Flair. This means that all your conversations will be in the open and can be more easily monitored.
When you create a post you can prevent comments from being added by others. This is to protect you if you are concerned that your post might receive unwanted comments.
When you create a post you have the option to prevent it from being reposted by Flair (both on the app or via our other social platforms).
Usernames & Surnames
We do not display your surname on your profile. We advise you to choose a username that doesn’t include your surname and is different from the usernames you use on other social networks. This will help protect your real identity.
We give you the option to remove your team name from your profile and your match infographics.
We allow you to have your profile managed by a parent on sign-up. This can help protect you if you are not yet confident in using social media safely.
If you are under-13, we require a parent to create your account.
